Make It, Grill It, Eat It!
Yakitori is a Japanese type of skewered chicken.
The preparation of Yakitori involves skewering the meat with a Kushi (typically bamboo or wooden stick). Meat consists of all things chicken like, chicken thigh, chicken meatballs, chicken wings, chicken skin, chicken intestines, chicken liver. Yakitori also includes vegetables such as asparagus, eggplant, Japanese shiitake, and many other seasonal vegetables.
After skewering the meat, they are grilled over a charcoal fire. During grilling, the Yakitori is either dipped in Tare sauce (which is sweet and consists of soy sauce, mirin, sake and sugar) or just plain salt.
